Megahorn does 90 damage, and against Exeggutor it does 140, against Venusaur, 90.
Earthquake does 120 against Exeggutor and 150 to Venusaur. You might as well go with Earthquake defensively. Stone Edge is ok offensively, really fast & hard to dodge, usually neutral against natural counters, Earthquake is slow, but has an odd dodge box that can be missed since the attack happens almost randomly after execution.

I would clear up anything with NO offensive/defensive value, it's hard when you worked for a lot of them but having good IVs is really only important for competing with other alike Pokémon in a single gym for the higher spot. Most important is movesets and equal leveling, although CP plays a small damage factor role, its not significant enough to justify holding onto them just because they've got gud statz. If you have bros or ones that have a story behind it, keep it. Follow those steps and I guarantee you'll reach under 500 easy.

Valor: usually normies, but they seem to have the most fun playing. Also usually very competitive irl, almost overly so. It's the "why would I pick a bad team" team. Used to be full of fucking tryhard cheaters. Favorite team to be with in person.
Mystic: filled with normies and freaks, but the freaks are usually way too into "nerd culture" and YouTube is their TV. Zero competitive spirit irl, they'll actually walk away and wait for me to leave to take the gym back when they find out my team. Persistent bunch of cheaters though. I don't need to get into the specifics of what sunshine does but trust me when I say it feels good to get real air and exercise a little every day. If you can catch a few Pokémon along the way, even better.
I like to take 2 hour hikes every day, and since I have unlimited LTE data I just spoof like a madman while getting the best part of playing normally. Catching complete shit for days because your spawns are terrible near you, and clamoring over barely useable shit because that's the best you'll probably do, is not a fun way to play the game.

For my town at least it's different.

Valor are the tryhard cheaters in my area. If you take down any level 10 gym that's theirs, they just put it back to 10 in minutes. These were also the people who had Tyrannitar day one of Gen 2 despite living in a Water/Ice biome and never (NEVER) having one Larvitar or friends spawn in our town.

Mystic were the normal people and most of them quit. The gym system and game being stagnant and monotonous combined with constant spoofing from Valor pushed a lot of the Mystic players who do play out. Few are left but they banded together to hold certain gyms, usually on the other side of town away from Valor.

Instinct are the ones wayyy deep into nerdy culture. They represent the smallest amount of players now but I know most of them in real life. They picked Instinct because they liked Zapdos or Spark (I shit you not) or their other friends are Instinct as well. They hold the smallest amount of gyms in our town.

Mystic and Instinct are bros but no one likes Valor here. Between all the spoofing and multiple account making, these certain Valor players have made most people quit partaking in gym battles totally. If you're not on their team, there's no point as you can only ever hold one gym before they take it down. If you're on their team but not in their circle, they'll use an alternate account to kick you out.

I don't mind if you spoof, just don't be a total asshole about it. There are around 50 gyms locally, the same 8-15 players are in about 35 of them and with alternate accounts.

Valor is a serious problem in my town too.
I can go around my suburban town and knock down every gym in a whole day, and by tomorrow they'd start building their empire again.
It's not like they even try, they'll put up 1500 CP mons because they know there's so little competition. I've given up putting mons up when I clear my town because by the time I'm done only 2 of them will remain claimed by me, the rest are active spoofers or necrobot accounts with few exception.

I think I'll resort to spoofing so I can just destroy every gym once a day and repeat the process until they figure out how to deal with necrobot.
