You're still my top bro, even though you're past your prime, Machamp

It will never ever be relevant, won't it? It will just stay the first "example" of fighting types that just exists for nostalgia, right?

Pokémon loves jerking off Gen 1. It will eventually get some kind of gimmick attention from future generations à la mega/Alolan variation/etc.
Just wait for Ultra Mega Regional Variant Robot version 2000 Machamp Fusion!

well Machamp is not without his merits. He had presence in VGC and even became senior worlds champ twice, and as for singles--was OU for 2 generations. It's not THAT bad, but compared to many other gen 1 pokemon, he sure got left behind.
His current merits are in spin off games like Pokken, being good in Shuffle, and semi relevant in GO, as well as being prominently featured in the main games somehow--but I'm really hoping GF remembers to give Machamp his long-overdue decent buff to return to the competitive scene

Machamp is still in its prime if you just use it and ignore tiers.

It's only matter of time until they need to dip into Gen 1 pandering again to sell games.
Maybe some classical greek mythology for a mega inspiration.

Are you not aware that confusion got nerfed this gen? And let's be real--while you can carry Machamp to OU, it doesn't mean he'll be able to carry his weight like he used to especially in the tapu meta. Even Conkeldurr is having a hard time keeping up with this meta.
