Some can be good if they're well executed like in Vega. New cries, new sprites, new moves, new everything to the point it completely replaces the old mon. I do agree ones like in quartz, where they just slapped eggs over torchic, mudkip and treeko are fucking awful.

Some designs are undeniably bad (the kelp lobster jumps to mind) but I personally find most of them appealing. There are plenty of real mons from gens 1-5 too

Nice! I'll have to give this a look-see, then. I'm really happy, I got super dissapointed last time I played a game with good looking fakemon. It was Sienna version and it looked brilliant in every way, but all the mons were literally just stuff like Zigzagoon with a new sprite slapped on.

Fuck it, there are too many good ones to cut them out, save them and paste them into paint, just look for yourself. Some are ass, but a lot have pretty good designs.

Cyan pics are scarce. One is called Pinecrab, it's a pineapple crab. It evolves from Crabble, an apple crab. It is fucking adorable and tanky as hell. Grass/Water

Seriously though, most of these are pretty bad. The Farfetch'd evo looks to be the best there.
Girafarig evo looks good, but would be better with some changes to the tail.
Swordfish line is the only decent looking original line.
That grass/electric dino-looking thing is also nice.

Gaia. No fakemon and it's extremely high quality. Feels like a real Pokemon game, and I have NEVER said that about any ROMhack.

Infinitely better than glazed. Try it, you won't be dissapointed. I usually quit ROMhacks around level 15 due to balancing issues/novelty wearing off/general disdain, this was the first one I played to completion (sort of)

I'm not a huge fan of some of its level spikes, especially while surfing, but it's overall a pretty surprisingly good hack. Hope it won't be 2 more years before the next patch comes out.
