Whenever I choose Feraligatr in Crystal, it is only because it learns Cut, Surf, Strength and Whirlpool. That's right, it's a HM slave.

In its defense, Surf and Strength hits everything in the game for at least neutral damage, and are reasonably strong moves with 100% accuracy, so there's that.
