Well pretty much any huge RPG series like Final Fantasy has fans like that.

I just dislike remakes because they don't have any new Pokemon and largely consist of a mostly cosmetic update. I play new Pokemon games for the new Pokemon and new region, so remakes always just feel kind of disappointing.
