Staraptor's niche is punishing switches and murdering the piss out of slow pokemon. Adamant Band is clearly the way to go, break those walls. If you truly feel speed is holding it back, just get a teammate with Tailwind.

I use Adamant Scarf with Reckless and it hits like a truck. It's funny to shit all over Thundurus or Mega Gengar or whatever the enemy throws to me in one hit. It takes a good chunk of things like Cloyster too.

Definitely would recommend over the band Jolly one.

Pretty much this, Adamant reckless choice band destroys 252hp 252 Def Rotom W with double edge, this is the most important reason why people run Adamant band over any other set.

Jolly scarf can be used for a compromise in speed tiers and role compression, but it won't land any important 2hko on balance or bulky offense.

Just go adamant band and fuck all the walls, most skarmory aren't running full physical these days so you might get lucky after rocks.
