Where is your Bro-mon?
Are you happy with that?
Personally I like Chandelure in UU, he has utility and can be a Super Sweeper with both Very good offensive types
>>32057318
Regular sableye is RU and mega sableye is OU
I don't use the mega too much, but I generally don't play anything but alternative metas and OU, so it doesn't matter too much to me.
>>32057318
Im not sure where Zoroark is this gen but I dont think it has ever gone above UU. I think if it got some sort of buff it could really shine but I'm not sure what that would look like
he's PU
and his mega is RUtfw glalie will never be good
>>32057318
My bro has been OU every gen since he's been available. I was actually pretty surprised to find he's OU this gen considering all the fairies and bugs and other threats running around.
>>32057363
>My bro has been OU every gen since he's been available.
He was Uber for 2 gens faggot. Research harder
>I was actually pretty surprised to find he's OU this gen considering all the fairies and bugs and other threats running around.
Because hes a good special walbreaker blessed with a good movepool(attacking and support), and speed tier? Even M-Scizor is weary of switching into HP Fire. If your not a Fairy type, your going to hate switching into his Dracos. And most fairies get 2HKO'ed by Psyshock anyway. You have zero opportunity cost when using Latios.
>>32057318
My top 3 bros
>Machamp
>RU
No. The guy hasn't received anything significant competitive-wise for three generations now. It's somewhat worse that it gets merch and promo for a non-A-list popular mon but is forgotten by GF/TPCi competitively. Not even asking for OU, at least high UU is fine
>Conkeldurr
>UU
Not bad. I'm okay with this. Would be great if he gets some minor buff again though
>Garchomp
>OU
Very satisfied
>>32057318
Has been in UU since Gen. 5 and still hanging there.
>>32057685
Was OU in the B/W meta.
>>32057656
I was making a statement about being OU. He HAS been OU each gen, which is to say, a top usable option.
The meta favors offense at the moment, with many of the fast threats outright beating Latios like Koko and Gren and Phero and the slow mons being able to threaten it still, like A-Marowak and Tapu Fini and Magearna. The way I've reasoned it, people use it today as a general Fire switch-in that doubles as a Defogger, with offensive presence -- i.e. Heatran, Y, Firium Z Volcarona.
OU in dp
Uu in bw
Ou in oras
Bl in sm
>>32057685
Beat me to it
>>32057659
Garchomp is going to stay OU because its the only pseudo with an unwasted BST.
>Can survive unboosted HP Ices
>Strong enough to OHKO frail shit without a boost
>Outspeeds fucking base 100s
Its an unbalanced mess that is one Dragon Dance away from being Ubers.
Man, remember when Reuniclus was OU? That was fun.
>>32057917
...it used to be? when?
PU, and i could care less because I can make it work in Battle Tree and don't play competitive multiplayer.
>Parasect will never be any viable
>>32057931
Gen 5.
Trick Room was one hell of a drug.
>>32057949
Isn't he good in gen 1?
I think my bro is RU, I use him in OU tho, because he is ma boi
>>32057968
only for Spore cause he was the only one who got Spore
and even then it wasn't all that great
>>32057979
Mega FUCKING when
I like Kingdra, but here's the deal
I like Critdra over Raindra
>>32057985
He has a mega tho
>>32057985
hah wouldn't that be neat
>>32057996
>>32058001
I meant the stone, smartasses
>>32058007
Just inject lol
>>32058016
but no online though
>>32057917
Reuniclus could do with a slight buff, like how other mons have gotten between gens.
BST 490 --> 500
where Def 75 --> 85
That would be pretty critical in helping it wall stuff like Mega Medicham or take hits from physical attackers in general better.
>>32057979
>>32057985
They need to retcon Solar Power to either have no recoil or have 5% recoil or just give M-Doom a different ability in general. Sure it hits hard once you set it up, but that recoil is like an extra fuck you.
I was surprised to say the least.
Save him.
>>32058107
Give it Galvanize.
Instantly the better Sylveon.
>>32057318
OU, and it's not outmatched, so I'm very happy with it. I'm also secretly scared of it being outmatched in coming Generations.
Archeops is my favorite mon at least design wise. Defiantly would raise the shit out of one if I lived in the anime world where any pokemon can be good but I'm not and can only play the games... so I'm dead inside.
>>32057917
>yfw reuniclus got almost banned in gen 5 because of crying stallfags
I still kek every time
>>32058130
>Charizard
Man I wish I was lucky enough to have Charizard as my favorite. It must feel good to never be lacking recognition
>>32058148
>Defiantly
I feel you anon. Definitely is a lot harder to spell than it looks, and autocorrect, for some reason, shows Defiantly before "Definitely". It's bullshit.
Oh, and Special Abilities exist in anime, so I wouldn't be too sure about Acheops' abilities.
>>32058204
I'd feel bad but english isn't my first language
>>32058168
Yeah, it must be great to have your favorite be the weakest starter of its Generation for 10 years, being mediocre at best in all but Gen 2, then being shit for another 7 years.
>Aggron NU
Gas all fighting types pls
>>32058230
serves you right for having shit taste
>>32058230
What are your thoughts on Charizard's megas?
I was very positivly surprised.
I expected RU at most.
>>32057704
I thought it was only because of new toy syndrome.
>>32058278
Could not care less for Zard or its Megas. They're fun to use if you like playing offensively, I guess? They look pretty good though. Especially X, though it seems Y is more popular on /vp/. None of the three are my type though. I prefer cuter Pokemon, like Marshadow or Mimikyu. Even fucking Charmander is more my type than Zard or its Megas.
Still has nothing to do with this thread.
>>32058471
>Cute
>Mimikyu
Pick one
Forever PU but was good in ORAS NU
Paraflinching with dunsparce in PU put him permanently on my bro list
>>32058265
And ground types?
>>32057318
Regular Mawile was my bro since I did a Fire Red Singlemon run with it. Random Roll.
I certainly like Mega Mawile a lot too though.
>>32058747
and Tyrantrum?
>>32058091
>>32058091
UU isn't too bad for this guy.
It's one of my favorite tiers, too
>TFW my bromon is Garchomp
>>32057988
Barbaracle is the only good crit memer
>>32060234
You should feel bad for even liking Garchomp. Its so broken, not even fairies prevents it from being one of the most used pokemon. And Gamefreak is stingy for making Ice types good.
>be PU/NU shitmon
>get one move
>now BL2 in XY and RU in SM
>sees use in OU for the move alone
It's something I guess.
>>32060361
t. flygonfag
>>32060438
Is it sticky web?
>>32057318
>OU
>OU
>NU
>PU
>Will be PU probably not FU
Guess my bro
Porygon-Z's been my bro since BW, and I've used him religiously even before Gen 7 brought him from the depths of UU into stardom.
>>32060697
Ninjask
>>32060234
>Garchomp will never get Dragon Dance
Feels bad man
>>32058107
It's actually a good Volt Switcher with Quick Feet + Flame Orb. With all of the GOTTA GO FAST, it's pretty nice for extra damage then switching into a counter.
Pic related for me. Assault Vest + Max attack & hp is a decent switch to certain walls. Scald, Future Sight, Fire Blast, and Psyshock/Dragon Tail/Shadow Ball
>>32060914
Max Sp Attack.
>>32060663
Yeah. Although not the only user shuckle remain the most reliable lead due to sturdy allowing it to take any hit and a mental herb allowing it to ignore one taunt.
I wish it could be a true wall but I'll take it.
>Pachirisu
It's not NU at least
UU at worst, and always cool.
I don't know, I just like this guy.
Never been top of anything but this man has carried through my first playthrough of Ruby and somehow made Snakewood possible. Maybe someday Gamefreak may remember the man of the century and give him a stat update
>>32057742
>Uses OU improperly to classify a Pokemon that was not, in fact, OU
Just say it had high usage every gen you humongous faggot
>>32058107
>OU straight to RU
Gen 6's power creep leap was one hell of a drug
>>32057979
I used him in OU until gen V. Got really disappointed with its mega's ability.
But he will always my bro.
>>32061866
>Never been top of anything
Claydol was OU in RSE and managed to stick around in UU throughout DPPt and BW.
>>32061933
You know OU stands for overused, right?
>Tfw Chandelure is also my Bro
BL hell
Fuck no. I genuinely look forward to power creep, solely for the fact that once Staraptor drops to UU, he's gonna wreck shit.
>forever pu trash
>>32058230
Zard was good in Gen 3 you scrub. It's probably better than Shittoise across all gens desu.
>>32064206
I honestly feel more sorry for you than I do for the people with bros trapped in PU.This includes me.
>>32057327
Make it so it copies the Pokémon in its entirety, like show status on that Pokémon hp the works but keep the actual stuff hidden
>>32060361
Karenfags, not even once
>>32057318
This fucker 6-0 a romhack ghost team during a mono-type playthrough by outspeeding two fast pokémon and one shooting everything else
Since thenshe became my bro for life

>>32058026
Powersaves
>>32057318
>PU
It hurts, really hoping for a mega with the DP remakes.
>>32058687
>tfw you will never get a floatzel mega
>tfw said nonexistent mega will not have a secondary ice typing
>tfw it will never become ou because of the speed and attack boost
>>32061866
yoooo... i like you
>>32057318
NU but it can function well anywhere slap stockpile or amnesia on it and watch mega Alakazam be unable to kill it with every focus blast it can muster
I like using him in doubles. 140 base defense and a resistance to earthquake. I put him next to scarfchomp and for some reason people don't expect the earthquake to destroy their Tapu Koko
>Went from OU to UU in the span of one gen with the introduction of those fairies
It still hurts.
>>32064958
Don't worry, my bro will Heavy Slam them pesky fairies for you.
Went from OU to UU, but I don't really care. It's been there for me ever since first using one in Blue.
>jumps all over the fucking place
I dont really do competitive anyways.
Overall good. RU this gen but has been shifting through UU and OU throughout the years.
I'm perfectly happy with his solid viability regardless of the gen.
>>32058428
It is still used commonly in SPL
Dudes talking about "muh pokemon dropped to UU", most of your pokemon are still used in SPL or has a niche in the OU metagame. While Staraptor is BL and almost useless in OU. Didn't check the viability rankings tho.
Delphox is NU now, which sucks. It used to be good in RU, i don't know what happened.
Pikachu
Kinda bitter-sweet because they keep giving him cool new shit but nothing is going to redeem him but a complete redo of his awful base stats.
I'm pretty happy settling with Alolan Raichu at least.
My bro is only NU. But I have messed some people up with him in the higher tiers.
>>32068042
A lot of stuff went down a tier with Gen 7
>Hydreigon
Fuck fairies
>>32064610
Not him but endure, weakness policy, swords dance, shadow sneak
>>32058204
>>32058227
Defiantly does actually fit, he knows archeops would still be shit in anime world so he defies reality by stubbornly raising one anyway.
Was OU for like two weeks when gen4 launched, so at least it had that.
Moved to RU this gen from BL2. May never hit UU again. Just means it will be a surprise in battle.
>tfw my bromon is slow
>tfw my bromon is a mixed attacker
>tfw my bromon is Rock-type
>tfw my bromon somehow missed out on all the best moves of its secondary type
>tfw my bromon is weak to the STABs of well over half of the Pokedex>tfw my bromon has never left OU
Anyone else know that feel?
>>32069026
mein neger
biggest bromon ever since i played silver as a kid
Cloyster had a hell of a ride, starting in OU, going down to UU, back to OU and now RU for the first time in Sun/Moon.
But it's apparently still used as a hazard lead even in uber if the smogon strategydex is anything to go by, so I guess that's something.
I really prefer the shell smash sweeper version of Cloyster though.
Leave the Tapu's to me!
>>32069026
>mixed attacker
in what fucking world
some people run some special attacks on ttar on defensive sets, but that doesn't make it an actual mixed attacker. a toothbrush that you use to comb your hair is not a hairbrush, its still a toothbrush.
>>32069367
>in what fucking world
Gen II to Gen IV. I remember TyraniBoah.
>>32058040
especially with lifeorb recoil, it all adds up and m houndoom ends up crippling his self more
>>32069286
Zone only counters 2/4 of the Tapus. Banded Bulu and Specs Lele 2HKOs with their Grass and Psychic STABs. And with no Sturdy, it will get annihilated by their Fighting coverage. Zone's niche was always being a steel trapper that hits like a truck, not checking Tapus.
>>32057318Wigglytuff will always be useless and cucked by Clefable barring major stat updates or an ability change. Seriously, why does Clefable get recognition every single gen while Wigglytuff is left in the dust?
>>32069620
C O R K S C R E W C R A S H
>>32069674
Is that a set for battle spot singles? Zone is better off spamming Specs Volt Switches in OU
>>32069865
I mean if you wanna solve the tapu problem...
Kommo-O has a corkscrew crash set specifically to bait and counter lele.
I remember
>>32069637
Unlike clefable, Wigglytuff is actually interesting and different from its pre-evos
>>32060256
That's no true I got fucked in battlespot yesterday by a super luck Z-tailwind togekiss got critted by it on every attack after that Z-tailwind and obviously I wasn't able to outspeed
>>32057318
While he might not be as viable anymore, This dude has been my bro since Gen II. I usually run him with an air balloon or choice scarf to give him space to fight back even with the abysmal speed.
SUPER Unpopular opinion time but I loved the penguin on release. To this day I still consider the man the top dog of water world. He holds a place in my heart and is the constant reminder that Steel types have peaked and will only keep getting nerfs in the future. (Come the fuck on GameFreak, the defensive type can barely defend anymore...)
