Well considering mega Blastoises design, it makes perfect sense for its ability to be mega launcher. What DOESN'T make sense though is that they decided to keep water pulse at 60 bp instead of boosting it alongside the new ability to actually make using it worth a damn. I would've settled for a 75 bp water pulse. Not spectacular, but better than fucking 60. I can also deal with hydro pump not getting boosted by mega launcher since that'd just be overkill imo. Flash cannon totally should get the mega launcher boost though.

The fact that Blastoise ended up getting cucked compared to the other 3 kanto starter megas really stings me because Blastoise is my favorite kanto starter and favorite starter overall. I still use him competitively since I just like him that much, but its still pretty clear he got screwed compared to Charizard and Venusaur.

Same anon here. It also doesn't help the fact that upon mega evolution, 20 points of those mega evolution stat buffs uselessly goes to Blastoises physical attack stat.

Tell me game freak: Why did you think it was a good idea to give mega Blastoise an extra 20 points to its attack stat which is not only useless since nobody uses a physical Blastoise, but also give it the ability that boosts pulse and aura moves which are all SPECIAL attacks?! I'm not saying those points should've gone to Blastoises speed since Blastoise was never terribly fast to begin with especially now in mega form where he's literally a walking tank, but why distribute those extra 20 points to a stat that not only is never going to be used, but give it an ability that actively DISCOURAGES physical attacks? You effectively gave Blastoise an 80 point boost when other megas got a full 100! Couldn't you have split those points in half and give him an extra 10 to each defensive stat?
