Fucker knew what he was doing. You can't just start a new game and "accidentally" save over the existing file, there's a specific button combo you have to press and all sorts of prompts warning you about what you're about to do. Add to that the fact that he didn't bother getting permission before taking the game in the first place and your friend sounds like a real asshole. I wouldn't say go beat him up because that's a shitty way to solve your problems, but if he's done shit like this in the past I would strongly advise you reconsider why you're friends with him in the first place. Not because of the game itself, mind, but because of his blatant disregard for the concept of personal property.
