Still, the latest fork (1.3.36) still works with the new save files from 1.4.1 (just avoid the "give all mons" code because it adds some unreleased, normal-30bp-opportunist stuff you shouldn't have). You still can use it to give yourself max hearts/jewels/items/enhancements just fine.

I, myself, prefer hex-editing the save. Not only it's quicker, but it allows me to give RML/MSU to mons that shouldn't have it; Like, Lv.20 Tyranitar with 30/15 MSU

Honestly, it sounds like the EB isn't worth your time anymore, I'd make sure you've caught the special stages available now (Mesprit can be safely skipped if you're really short of coins, and Garchomp is the only 100% requirement from the Safari to be honest), then focus on getting through what main stages you can without spending too many coins. Keep a balance of coins for now, as next week will likely bring the Garchompite competition back, and that is more important to make sure you get the Mega stone than any other concern right now

Heracross taking a long time to turn Mega is the thing that holding you back, I'd guess. It sounds like main stage progress and preparation for next week is what you should focus on right now. Once you build up a variety of special/expert stage mons, you'll get higher in EBs more frequently, but going high in EBs is more of a bonus than a requirement. Don't worry about it too much.

Having Mega Charizard can be handy when you don't have Blaziken, so grab it from mission cards if you haven't, other mission cards aren't as important. Hoopa-U is very strong and it's important to make sure you go in with the aim of catching it first time.

More S-ranks will get you Genesect and a whole lot of not very much, if you already have Yveltal, Xerneas and Mewtwo. At very least get to Yveltal and Xerneas, you should be strong enough now to go back and S-rank enough of those earlier stages without items to get that far.

I wouldn't bother aiming for anything past Genesect, when they come up during normal play, catch them, because some of them are niche and occasionally useful (Bisharp comes to mind), but you can easily work around not having them, so don't do anything specific for them unless you have nothing better to be doing.

Try to unlock at least Gallade. He's really useful and will be extremely helpful against Hoopa-U (grind at least 25k coins because you'll need to do a full-item run and throw some GBs at it, btw).

Walrein and Ludicolo can be helpful sometimes but not very frequently, especially if you grinded Bellossom. If you have Bellossom don't even bother catching Ludicolo. There's also Jumpluff, Electrode and Poliwrath on the EX stages, they can also be helpful sometimes, but right now, I'd say Gallade should be your priority. You can easily S-Rank enough stages to get it, check the guide in the OP if you need some help. Focus on S-ranking the first few areas and then keep going. You can always check Pak Adi Yak's Youtube channel for recommendations.

Well what you expect? I did Darkrai last week and got to 150 after 2 or 3 days. Then after word got around that GS fucked its HP on 175 and 200 pretty bad I stopped after doing 150.

I was here when we got Darkrai for the first time. And oh boy, its was such a pleasure to climb this mountain the first time. I have fond memorys of shitposting here with all shufflefriends while memeing on darkrai with mluke. Then the 2nd and 3rd time I used my all bugs meme team and it was great.
Now, I am in the position to easily clear those stages that used to be hard. But I cant forgive GS for staining Darkrais honour. Going all items on 175/200 will just send the message that they can fuck around with us and we wont do anything against it.

Actually meme magic worked. In the next batch of hearts after posting that Manaphy finally appeared so with that I'm finally free of that place.
Keep at it anon, I'm two stages after Hoopa-U and have unlocked up to Arcanine in terms of S-ranks I think so I still have a ways to go too but right now I'll do some mission card stages for a change of pace I guess.

It depends, I recently finished giving RMLs to Emboar so I started with Bellosom and I'm pleased with the results so far even with the nerf it's still a very reliable grass type.

But if you have more important mons to give RMLs to do them first. You know, Machamp, Golurk, Raikou, Suicune, etc.

Other two dont have a stage to grind yet. However its only Risk Taker and giving them 3 m cookies is already lv4. Not that much of an investment.

If you want to grind them use survival. Its much more relaxing and you dont go mad playing ampharos for hours. Srsly, 1 survival run is 2500 exp
