Picked Oshawott at first but Emboar is the one I fell for in the end.

I picked Oshawott and dropped it in the PC at the first opportunity. Gen 5 has a ton of great mons, but the starters are not among them.

Oshawott for BW1, Snivy for BW2. I didn't enjoy using Snivy anywhere near as much as Oshawott, which felt like the best choice for the game.

Did Tepig first because every fire starter before it was great, always do Oshawott now because Dewott is one of my favorite Gen 5 designs and Samurott is cool too

Tepig first game because I played blind. Didn't really like Oshawott and my sister chose Snivy.

BW2 chose Oshawott because I preferred Samurott out of all the final stages. I truly don't understand the appeal of Oshawott and the utter disdain for Samurott. Dewott is alright.

I originally choose Snivy, but I like Oshawott more now and used it in BW2. I've grown to like them all even though I nearly dropped my starter in Gen 5 because I was an edgy teen and wanted to be cool so I jumped on the "these are shit starters" band wagon that was oh so popular after wottergate. It's sad to see those same people nitpicking about the gen 7 starters still.
