My local store is having tournament where every set from RS-on is legal. Which is better, this or Shayamin-EX?
The only real advantage Shaymin has is that it can bounce back to the hand instead of the deck, along with being able to tank 40 more damage. Otherwise, Uxie is better in every way.

Uxie for sure:
1. He gives you 1 more card
2. He's not an EX, and therefore isn't Lysandre bait
3. His LV. X has an ability that's essentially Acro Bike every turn

Are you kidding? How is this even a question? Uxie is one of the 2 best draw cards ever printed (the other being Oak, of course). Definitely Uxie.

And did I mention he also turns Level Ball into draw power?
I didn't play when uxie was legal. How was the meta then? I imagine people would run 4 of this thing in every deck. How much did it cost?

It wasn't nearly as big of a deal as Shaymin, because Claydol also existed in the format.
It was probably the worst format the TCG's ever had. It felt like it was just gamebreaking deck after another. It was too fast for its own good.

Granted, what made Claydol so good was the lack of Gust of Wind effects in the format. Claydol kinda faded away a bit once Luxray GL LV. X came out.

Much like Octillery now, Claydol wouldn't have been nearly as good if he had to deal with Lysandre (and to a lesser extent, Garbodor and Hex Maniac).
