I mean some of the issues can be solved. such as the dock which by putting in a sponge or something soft on the dock it could prevent scratches from happening (at least I hope that works). As for the joy-con grips they could have just placed plastic to cover the wrong side of the grip.
Hopefully in the coming months we would get some sort of revised unit and ambassador-like program for people that bought the launch units.
