Its pretty much all you can do with his signature mons. The regular trainers are just harder since they don't need to stick to just 6 same mons with 2-4 different sets.

Red is tough at times, shit at others. I've had my entire team swept with his Zard X, and I've swept his entire team with a fucking Gallade.
I really hope GF buff him up. They changed his team slightly just 8 years ago. I don't see why they can't do the same again. Have him use his usual team outside of the Tree, the first time you meet him, but give him a strong one during Tree, where fights have some steaks.
