Jesus christ, the only pokemon that's ever gotten me to even act anywhere as close as this is Primarina alone and even I haven't acted this autistic, even though people like to jump into the conclusion that I do, whether they're extreme defendants or not. I'm otherwise unbelievably apathetic towards every other monster design who you'd might think I'd dislike and even I started to give less of a crap about Primarina and just enjoy what I like rather than get myself upset over the most frivolous things.

Pikachu and Charizard. Oh lord, these two. Pikachu because it blew up the missiles and subsequently caused the seizures during Porygon's debut episode... but because mascot immunity, Porygon wound up thrown under the bus instead. Thus my favorite evolutionary line has only been reduced to fucking cameos in movies ever since.

And Charizard... Well, I guess I should be more specific: Mega Charizard X. The ONLY reason it exists is to pacify the genwunners who constantly demanded "b-but muh Fire/Dragon type!!" Mega Char-Y, I can totally get behind, because it actually looks like a step up from Charizard. Mega Char-X, however, looks like an edgy 12-year-old tried to design a Charizard OC.

Really, I wouldn't be so bitter if it wasn't for the fact that Charizard gets two Megas while the other Kanto starters get one. Game Freak has always tried to distribute starter-specific things equally (Elemental Hyper Beams, Pledges, "in a pinch" abilities...) I can understand Mewtwo getting two simply because it's a top-tier legendary. But why should just Charizard get an extra Mega other than just Gen 1 pandering?

... Man, I've never even considered that. I mean, over the years, I've grown to dull my Pikachu hate and deal with it, but that fucking stings. All I can say is, be glad Porygon and its family even shows up in movies, he could have gotten rid of completely.

I remember when I was first hyped for Mega Charizard X (simply because that was the version I got at the time), but now Mega Evolutions as a whole? They're practically forgettable to me. The way they were distributed and act just feels like a gimmick they can use as well to market certain designs as well and to make them more "cool". And I really hate the favoritism regarding starters as well, it just makes everything so goddamn convoluted.
