Finding someone to battle in a real, not shitty 3v3 format is such a fucking hassle and there's nothing to do at all after the game is done. It's a shame, the main story was so good, why'd they have to fuck it up with nothing afterwards?

I know that feel which is why I've been replaying older games before I get bored and put down the series until next game/gen.

Replayed gba sapphire, leafgreen, and heartgold and had way more fun with gen 3 than I expected even though I've played through them dozens of times. Even with it being pre-physical/special split. Doing things I scoffed at back in the day like all master contest, getting as many ribbons as possible on one pokemon, completing the lvl 50 battle tower, mt battle 100 streak.

I'm actually contemplating buying platinum since HG is the only gen 4 game I played. Only reason I haven't is because all of this talk of gen 4 remakes, though I may as well buy it since GF gone downhill content wise since the move to 3ds and their remakes tend to be slightly worse or completely different experiences than the originals.

Stopped like a week after bank was released, started playing duel links heavily!

I don't. Got a bit burned out after 400 hours but I just stopped to play some other games for like a week, and the new mission was a good excuse to get back into it.

I do wish there was more to do than just the battle tree, but at least I'm such garbage at it I'll probably farm a thousand hours from that alone.

All I'm doing in Sun right now is SOS calls and Masuda Method for shinies. That's just a side thing though, I'm also Soft Resetting for a shiny Squirtle in Fire Red.

There's nothing to do in SM other than the battle tree, and that gets boring very fast.
I'd have like a Black Tower kinda thing, with puzzles to get to the top.
