Moltres for me, I was quite amazed when I pulled it (I never get EXs from anything, the game prefers to use boosters as an unlimited source of Flareons and Xatus) but after a bit I realized what I actually wanted from the birbs was Zapdos. Also got that normal Deoxys from the wins, but I don't know if it's worth using.

If deoxys moves to one of those points, you move a 3 pm figure to point A. If you dont kill him (meme balanced deoxys plate is on), he will probably move to a spawn point, you cant block your goal in your next move, if he uses hurdle jump , you do the same and you will bloack your goal

Not a fan of this response. Opponent doesn't need to Hurdle Jump, he can move next to the goal without it. So you're down a hurdle jump and the opponent isn't.

Unless you're really damn sure about attacking you should just move right next to the goal, let them take EP, then block your goal.

Wait, can Pokemon not move after using Swap Slot? I've seen others use the Plate to switch Pokemon and move in a single turn, but when I tried to do the same, it didn't work and I lost the duel.

this is my go to defense against deoxys -S

chesnaught position first, then if they move to where deoxys is, lucario position
if they move a shuppet or gastly to the spot in this pic it means they plan to use a swap spot plate on the ghost and then cheese onto your goal
for a shuppet you can surround the goal if you have another 3mp mon, but with gastly you need to block it completely (with whatever you have in lucarios position)
any differences in techniques you should be able to adapt to

COMMONS ONLY LEAGUE WHEN?

this game is 10 times more fun the first few days you play. the teams are super varied when ur rank is really low and everyone only has 1 ex. it makes story mode the funnest thing ever and playing online more fun as well. but once you hit 2200's the game becomes almost a chore. the fun of seeing new figures and teams and what they do wears off since every single team is cookie cutter garbage.

where is the replayability aspect? where is the dynamicism of the figures to MAKE me want to spend money to get more? where is the incentives to collect them all and for a pokemon game even though it is a gacha why is there absolutely no fucking trading? they could have figured out a way to make it work (you can start trading once you hit 2000 vr ect), where is the friends lists?

so many missed opportunities on something that had the potential to become the next TCG... so now we sit here... in an empty thread with a game who's playerbase barely exists anymore with a meta that isn't even fun beause the devs are retarded and have no idea how to power creep dlc properlly like the TCG did.

I have 17 EXs, and I've used and benefited from 12 of them at some point, so yes, I am pretty happy with them.
The ones I used the most were the Legendary Birds, Ho-oh, Latias and Deoxys-Speed and Defense.

I'm at my wit's end. Not sure if I'm going to keep playing this or not.

I'm about a month in. I joined literally the day after the sexpacks left the shop. I'm a full F2P player.
Since then, I've opened enough packs to gather over 2500 material, I played both gyms off cooldown, and I've finished all three dailies and opened the locked booster every single day because I'm a neet.

I have zero (0) EX Pokemon.

I literally cannot win any longer. The game is NOT balanced around non-EX Pokemon. R Pokemon are not good enough, unless a gym happens to buff them for a week. I've been sitting at around 2200 using a cheese rush team because I literally do not have a means of competing with EX Pokemon.
Their white attacks are better than mine. Some of their GOLD attacks are better than mine.
Their purple attacks have more stars and a bigger impact than mine.
EX Pokemon are the only ones with viable gold attacks. Zapdos, Mew, Infernape, Raikou, Rayquaza, Greninja, the list goes on. So even if I do have a good purple attack, I literally cannot use it a majority of the time.
And since there are no viable non-EX gold attackers, I can't stop their purple attacks at all. Pokemon like Lugia are virtually unbeatable.

The issue is that this is literally impossible unless my opponent is a retarded child, which does not happen above 2200. Between simply playing even slightly defensively and cards like Goal Block to fix any mistakes, surrounding or rushing a goal does not work once the retard filter means I'm not matched against brain dead opponents.

I'm at a point where if I don't cheese and win within the first three turns, I hit forfeit and try again because I will literally never be able to outspin an opponent who is even remotely competent, because even their defensive choices beat out my best offensive options.

Should I even keep playing this shit game?

I have enough Material to get my third Reuniclus, but the Gym event is about to end. Is it worth the 1800 Material or should I just save for some EX?

it's a nightmare for a lot of EX, really good chances of doing something against most threats, except for other gold centric figures of course

you also see squirtles a lot, along the big hitters, the wide dodge is very valuable for hurdle jumpers and to maintain either entry points or goal posts until you surround

but yeah, 3MP rushing is probably the only option for a non-ex team, but you gotta have the first turn and usually also get the opponent to give you an entry point via Hurdle jump, without them using theirs or goal block, and the odds of that not happening are super low
