Since they've been added, I've received four special items (not horrible luck), but three of them have been Up-Grade. I had never seen a Porygon since the Valentine's event and feel it will be forever until I can use all three. A few hours later, with no critical catches, I came across a Kabutops, my first one. I caught it and again, less than a minute later, I got a critical catch on another Girafarig (was at a nest). This made me remember when I got 5 critical captures in a 30 minute time span. This was on the first Saturday after gen 2 came out when I was in the city catching many new mons. Coincidence?

So I'm level 28, been playing since the first week of release. I have hatched 1 Tangela and have never even seen one on the radar. I went out tonight to hit up some stops and caught a few new gen 2 mons and was pretty satisfied, decided to call it a night. I got home, and remembered I was waiting to evolve something so I opened up the game. BAM. Tangela on the radar. This was beyond rare for me. I have caught a Chansey, several Lapras, even a Dragonite, but haven't ever seen a Tangela.

My neighborhood is set up in a grid system which makes it hard as fuck to track anything. I literally went up and down every street and couldn't find the fucker ANYWHERE. I decided to go home and halfway there I saw a Snorlax on my radar. I felt like niantic was fucking with me. I had caught 3 Snorlax and hatched 2 before, but was still super pumped for it. Cp1900, lick and hyper beam. Caught with just 2 balls.

TL;DR: Couldnt find the Tangela that was on my radar, decided to head home, found and caught a snorlax.

So my wife and I were on a walk with her kids, braving the sub-20 degree Wisconsin weather, and we stopped to bump up this gym a couple spots.

After we had put in about 8000 or so prestige worth of work, I noticed that the gym prestige was actually holding steady or even going down a little. I waited and watched... sure enough, it was going down. I looked around... no one there.

This gym is in the middle of a small park on a college campus, but it's a weekend, and the place is empty. I looked at the nearest building... locked and dark, but also too far from the gym (I checked to be sure).

Anyway, the gym was still level seven, so I told my wife to take the kids home and I'd wait to see the username of whichever spoofer was fighting it. He's walking around behind it so you can't see him, but I saw him peeking around the trunk at you."

I've noticed that a lot of fast pokemon that are useful in the main series games are useless in pokemon go. I feel like if they increased the CP of pokemon with high speed, it would give more variety to gyms. Here's a very rough, simple formula I came up that could work: Take the speed stat and subtract 65. If the result is positive, multiply it by 8. Add this to the pokemon's max cp.

I went into a neighboring town filled with yellow gyms. I took every gym down (eight of them) and I kept seeing each gym return to their control with a low level account and a 20-28 cp Pokemon in them being prestiged very quickly. This allowed the main account to avoid consuming ANY potions at all, since the low account could do all the work.

Usually when you catch a Pokemon it wiggles 3 times and some small stars come up on the PokeBall. Just now i caught a sentret and the ball wiggled like 1 or 2 times, then a star thing came out of the PokeBall and swirled upwards, leaving a yellow streak along the way and saying the Pokemon was caught. It happened too fast for me to take a screenshot but I'm positive that it happened. I checked the Pokemons stat thinking that it's some 100% or something, but that wasn't the case.

So far I have only found a sun stone. I have gone to around 300+ poke stops since the update. I have to scythers and an onix that I would love to evolve but I'm not having any luck finding these.

Banning spoofers from entering or battling gyms would be enough. That way they're free to "go out" and hunt the Pokemon they want and can complete their Pokedexes without ruining other players' abilities to battle and hold gyms. So far, I've found 2 Sun Stones, 5 Metal Coats, 2 Dragon Scales, 3 Up-Grades but not a single King's Rock. I know that it sounds like I'm complaining when I've been lucky enough to get so many evolution items, but I've had the worst fucking luck with eggs so far and this doesn't balance it out.

I'm getting soft banned at least once a day from playing while in the underground and metro. It will randomly pick up the GPS signal between stations, and it always happens that it teleports me all over the place.

So, I've recently noticed some odd egg hatches for Gen I Pokemon. I got a Pinsir out of a 5km egg, and I got a female Nidoran out of a 2km egg. Does anyone know if this is some sort of bug, or was there a change in the egg hatching for gen I Pokemon?

Absolutely no fun allowed, a gym finally emptied up from being one of a collection of about 8 level 10 Instinct gyms so a low level puts Rhyhorn in probably just to finally get some coins as no other gyms have emptied up since gentoo dropped. I put in a Santa Raichu because I'd already gotten my coins for the day and I really wanted Mystic and Valor to have an easy foothold to finally start playing again but no that can't happen when you live in Instinct dominated cesspool. Some cool guy puts in a cp 3020 Snorlax in and starts leveling up the gym. Why is instink all try-hards now?

So in Toronto, when the game first released, there were Drowze everywhere, like I had 500 Drowze candies in the first week. Since then it has been fixed and spawns seemed to even out. But now, with gen II being released, there is a new pest in Toronto. Swinub. Everywhere. There are still some active trackers in the city, and according to that data, over 20% of all spawns in the city are Swinub. Thats over 3x more than any other single pokemon spawn in the city.

I sure as hell wouldn't put my DragonBreath/DragonPulse dragonite in a gym! That's my top attacker. I use him every day. Personally, I have two Espeons. One 87IV, one 89, both maxed for my level (33). I put the lower one in gyms. It does pack one major wallop. I put it right there with exeggutor. It does get wrecked easily, but so does every single pokemon except snorlax and blissey.

So I was biking down the road in Fremont ,CA (fairly rural), when I saw the shadow of an Ampharos on the nearby list. I had a mini heart attack and immediatley started looking. However, even though I was going pretty slow my sightings disappeared. When it finally reappeared, my list was replaced by 4 common pokemon at pokestops located on the edge of my screen and 3 more common spawns on nearby with no Ampharos. So now I don't even know if I'm going in the right direction. I gave up after 15 minutes of no Ampharos appearing on the screen or even on nearby. So apparently Ampharos is super rare so this was probably the most depressing pokemon day I had.
