Surely samurott was designed for shell smash right? Like emboar was designed around reckless with all its recoil moves and high hp and serperior around contrary with its low attack stats so its not immediately broken after a boost.
Samurotts a mixed attacker to make the most of the shell smash boost and it has mediocre speed because its meant to be boosted. Shell armour lets you boost up and no have to worry about a crit KO before or after the boost

People would use Torrent more anyways. Samurott's STAB moves at +2 would hit like a nuclear force when its at red health. A smasher that benefits being in the KO range would be a solid niche.
