I just bought a New XL in December to replace my old, dying, OG 3DS, and am not about to spend $300+ for a damn tablet that I have to spend $70 extra to use an actual fucking controller with. Pokemon is just fine where it is right now.

I can't wait to play Gen VIII at 1080p (disclaimer: upscaled from 600p) and 20fps on the Switch with even less content than XY and SM due to the increasing dev costs and dev time required only for the game to still only look half as "good" as launch titles like BotW. And the sad thing is that is what will happen.

Also, no, I don't want to play on a TV. That's the worst part of my PS4. I wish Vita Remote Play worked even a fourth as well as the Wii U's Off TV Play when it comes to latency, only good part of it is you can use Remote Play at great distances via Wi-Fi.

Sun/Moon could look the way it does on a 3DS currently and run way better, because of GF's sloppy coding and design. Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to somehow fuck it up even with the Switch's hardware.

Game Freak is married to the idea of Pokemon being portable games because of how hard they push the social aspect.

Also Starsfags need to get this. Sun/Moon would look and run better on Switch, but that would be unforgivable to be running on a home console in 2017. Go look at Digimon.

Gen VII will stay on 3DS for the one game left in it. Then 2019 or 2020 will have Gen VIII on Switch, and it will reach new levels of shit most anons here didn't even think was possible, because like how jumping from PS1 graphics to PS2 graphics greatly decreased the amount of content and polish, jumping from PS2 graphics to PS3/4 graphics will do so even more.
