Anyways, I guess by thief ability you probably mean pickpocket, since that's a thing. A shitty thing, but still a thing. If you meant a signature ability for greninja I would take anything but a re-named magician. It's just that shit of an ability, I don't want it on anything.

I would have preffered if delphox's magician was instead a built-in trick that only worked the first time delphox attacked while it is in battle. Imagine everytime you switch out and then in again and hit something you fuck your target's item up by replacing their choice band with a choice specs, their leftovers with a black sludge, their eviolite with a flame orb, etc.

Wouldn't prevent it from being a fragile special attacker, but I would love to see what kind of shenanigans could be created with such an ability. Plus people would have a reason to run magician klefki and magician hoopa

sure, the problem is delphox is too frail to make use of that kind of ability. It can't safely switch on almost anything, and let alone try to land attacks for the sake of item swapping.

And the thief ability doesn't have to be items, it could be like a permanent snatch as long as greninja is on the field, it still sounds very good, and fits more.

Blame Water and Fairy typing being one of, if not the best typing combinations of any kind.

If not for that, heck, I don't think anyone would even bother defending the sea lion for what it is. It'd legitimately be Meganium tier concerning hate.

And blame shitty physical bulk on their supposedly frail designs, since anything frail must have a physical bulk equivalent of it. That is, frail.
