The chance of no drop is 80%, and then the Stone Edge crit chance is 10% (80 accuracy and 1/8 crit chance).

Fairy is far worse than even Gen 5 Dragon ever was. It's actually a good attacking type. Dragon was carried solely by the strength of the things that were Dragon type, and most could be checked by packing some Steel types, or an Ice move. Once the power creep kicked into overdrive, and Dragons lacked the definitve BST superiority behind them, they just started getting shit.
Fairy on the other hand, makes mons that were absolute SHIT before they got the typing substantially better. BST carried Dragon, Fairy carries BST.

It really isn't. Back before Fairies, nothing could really stop most Dragons after Outrage. Only steel types, most of which were threatened out by Earthquake or Fire Blast.

Now that there are Fairies, you can't simple spam Outrage after eliminating your opponent's steel type. Not only that, but it gave way for Steel and Poison being effective offensive types as well as buffing tons of Pokémon.

Dragons and Weather Wars (namely rain) are what ruined Gen 5 competitively.

It's only an hour long because the players took their time each turn. The game lasted about 100 turns (about 2 minutes thinking for each turn) with only Clefable and Tyranitar left.

For a serious match, that's pretty average amount of turns and if they went faster with their decision making, it would be 30 minutes long.

The sad thing is that Smogon's ban system actively fights to keep stall alive as a viable tactic. The Pokémon that get banned are, almost always, frail offensive threats which have the ability to break through walls.

I like hyper offense because my attention span only allows for less than 50 turn games at max.
To sit there for 500 turns requires patience i just dont have. So basically more skill than just fishing for super effective hits.

I'm not sure if that's sarcasm, but it takes skill to win consistently regardless of playstyle. There's no reason Smogon should force one playstyle to be viable when, in the game's natural state, it isn't.
It's like if they banned Gastrodon, Ferrothorn, Charizard Y and Rotom-W because they considered protecting Rain's viability to be a priority.

You know that most banned threats are ones that shit over hyper offense/balanced teams, right? There's too little offensive shit that can shit all over stall without shitting over the other play styles.

Things like Hoopa-Unbound are anomalies, not the most common kind of offensive powerhouse. Mega Lucario was able to shit over hyper offense and balance because it would pick off at least 2 mons before you discovered its set while stall would just keep switching between counters. Shit like M-Kangashkan shat over balanced teams and forced you to run Rocky Helmet Ferrothorn to "counter" it... something that stall already ran to start with.

Just like Hyper Offense requires knowledge of what can wall or revenge kill you and Balance requires knowing pretty much everything you need to know with HO and Stall. So again, Stall takes no more skill than any other playstyle.
