Call me crazy, but I have this weird feeling the periods will vanish next game
OP your crazy to even come up with this thought rather then it actually happening.
>periods
what do you mean
all pokegirls will either get preggers or reach menopause?
>>31840305
i would actually play the shit out of a game where the protagonist is an elderly person who've retired after a lifetime of hard work and is finally ready to begin the pokemon adventure they've cherished as a dream since their youth

There's a great chance, actually. GF at least recognizes the problems with Red and is at least trying to fix him. They removed Pikachu from his Tree team, for starters. And for the first time since he became an NPC, he was shown interacting with another human being, being friends with Blue, and Blue trying to talk to Red, claiming Red is just quiet in the end.
I'm hoping he will, so let's just hope.
Whatever people might say about him, I think of him as the representative of all Pokemon Trainers and actually look up to him a bit, so I really hope they improve him.
>>31840320
i remember the thread that attempted to make a game that sounds kinda like that
>>31840285
red is quiet bc no dialogue options are available to him
>>31840402
>Yes
>No
>Name input
>Copycat
>>31840425
those cant be selected without a player
>>31840402
He tells his Pokemon what moves to use. :^)
>>31840285
>removing periods
Between this and the OP pic I read this completely the wrong way.Or is it the wrong way...?
>>31840528
Its almost like red is the player character right?
>>31840338
>I think of him as the representative of all Pokemon Trainers and actually look up to him
>>31840559
other trainers can do that
>>31840320
That's because you're old anon.
>>31840559
There's no evidence to suggest he doesn't allow his mons to act on their own accord
>>31840992
I was thinking this.
Considering how generation showed battles and how dialogs in oras and sm showed enemy's attacks "go <<pokemon>> and how games describe moves always with indirect speech, maybe in-universe trainers don't really tell their pokemon what moves to use. After all, unlike the anime, not all pokemon understand the human language, only a minority of them which are mentioned by the dex.
>>31841260
Anon, that's LITERALLY the only thing a trainer does. Command Pokemon. You have to be stupid to even think otherwise. And there's really no reason to not to talk.
>>31840285
I NEED A SOURCE
>>31840338
>and actually look up to him a bit
>>31841260
Explain Battle Palace.
>>31840285
Yes OP I Understand What You Mean By That
I Miss Proper Pronunciation
For those confused - you might be in one of the countries that calls the little dot at the end of a sentence a "full stop."
>>31840785
>>31843235
F-fuck you. I think he's really cool.
>>31840338
>actually look up to him a bit
>>31840285
I can't believe no one asked this yet : Sauce ?
>>31840338
>actually look up to him a bit
That's kinda cute
Idk, they'd have to come up with a really good reason for me, personally, to be down him suddenly talking, or at least do so in a way that isn't dramatically jarring.
His not speaking all the time is part of why I like him so much, I can relate to himsince I'm selectively mute as well.
His actions speak for him and I think that's neat, and then of course all the "his silence reflects his role as the protag insert" stuff which we've been over before.
But that's just this anon's .02

This and also this: >>31840934

I think GF should always consider varied teams for legacy characters.
It would be interesting to see if Red scoped out any other Pokemon of interest rather than his Yellow team with new moves and holding extra shit.
