A very good concept that was fucked up thanks to not only mostly limiting it to Dragon type but also by the terrible stat distributions Gen 6 and 7 had. Having a Pokemon that can compete with legendaries in terms of strenght but limiting it to either evolve very late or be found very late is a cool idea but these limitations and sometimes awful stat distrubutions cause some to outclass others. I really hope that Gamefreak will do a non Dragon type Pseudo next gen again and maybe save the cucked pseudos by giving them things they are lacking in order to not be outclassed. Also only giving three of them megas, one of which is also way worse than the original was pretty stupid aswell.

GF got scared of garchomp, so they began making them have severe flaws from then on.

They also just gave up on non-dragon pseudos after metagross, which is a shame, since they could've done so much more than just more dragons. The amount of imposing mythological beings they could've adapted into pseudos could've been great. Makes me wonder if we'll ever get another non-dragon pseudo again, and what it would even look like.

It may not be dragon type but all the pseudos are dragon style monsters and then there is just metagross sneaking in like nobody would notice.

It came too late. With that typing in Gen V it would have been S rank in OU.
