We don't have a lot of evidence for which Looker is which, but I think timeline-wise Looker's appearance in ORAS is kind of confusing.

It pre-dates his appearance in DPPt, but at the same time he barely does anything of consequence in the game so that his appearance is obviously for a reason. I don't see how he's from the original continuity universe if he gives you a Mega Stone.

My headcanon is that Hoopa was punching interdimensional holes has something to do with why Deoxys was aiming a meteorite for Hoenn. The interdimensional hole-punching weakened interdimensional walls and is ultimately what led to the Ultra Beasts being able to more freely move from their universe to the S/M one. GF just gets bored of ideas so quickly they didn't bother to reference Hoopa in S/M to make it more obvious.

In my headcannon the weakening in the dimensional gaps were caused thanks to the events in DPPt because someone in SM (I think Wicke) said that the first wormholes were seen 10 years ago, the exact time between the 4th and 7th generation (HGSS/DPPt -> 6 years BW -> 2 years BW2/SM ->2 years SM).

This is pulled out of your ass. We have no numbers for those periods of time between the games. All we know is that Kanto/Hoenn takes place 3 years before Johto/Sinnoh, that BW2/XY takes place 2 years after BW1 and that SM takes place 10+ years after Kanto/Hoenn.

They ONLY used the alternate world bullshit to explain why Hoenn has Megas, after stating in XY that Kalos is the only region with Megas. NOTHING ELSE. This people coming from alternate universes or the alternate universe being relevant at all is just fucking headcanon bullshit.

1. The first Ultra Wormhole appears in Alola thousands of years ago and dumps a Solgaleo and Lunala. They befriend the Tapus after a fierce battle and become the Guardians of Alola along with them.
2. Another Ultra Wormhole opens a dumps some Ultra Beasts that tries to destroy Alola, but Solgaleo and Lunala stops them (IIRC).
3. Thousands of years later, another Ultra Wormhole opens and dumps a Guzzlord in Alola who starts wrecking shit. Looker, Nanu and another agent are sent to stop it, but the third agent dies in the battle.
4. Looker enters the Ultra Wormhole and gets dumped in Hoenn, having lost his memories. He is found by Brendan and May and gives them an Audinite as thanks for helping him.
5. His presence as a Faller attracts more Ultra Wormholes and Ultra Beasts, and they invade Hoenn a few years after the Battle Frontier is built.
6. Anabel enters an Ultra Wormhole during the battle and gets dumped in Alola. Looker goes to find her after the invasion ends.
7. Anabel never recovered her memories, and started a new life as a police agent with Looker.
8. The International Police creates the UB Taskforce to prevent future invasions. Anabel becomes the leader of the taskforce.
9. The events of Sun and Moon happens.
