In that case you just got unlucky. Try depositing a Litten, that got me a Popplio in a few hours.

If ever you go longer than a few hours after depositing to get a trade, just give it a Starf Berry or any other decently hard-to-find item.
Works literally every time, but do it sparingly as to not destroy the Berryconomy.

Just deposit a Porygon2, they'll give you ANYTHING.

Or SOS a Corsola for a Marenie, it isn't that difficult.

Do you have any rareish breedable Pokémon? (Dhelmise, starters, Mimikyu, etc) You gotta trade something of somewhat equal value. If it doesn't happen in 20 minutes just redeposit it. Pretty much rinse and repeat.

Just catch one.

This is why I'm glad I completed my dex before bank hit. Every time bank hits, the GTS goes to shit. At least before it was somewhat reasonable to trade excepting the item evos, I actually could use seek and find some good trades.

Try wonder trade, Pokémon like Marenie is pretty easy to get because a lot of people are breeding it.
