I spent almost three weeks breeding one and I'm kinda triggered that I pretty much can't use it ever again

It's shiny, making it impossible to bluff Battle Bond. Yeah, I can use it, and Protean is still good, but by using a shiny one I'm putting myself at a disadvantage by automatically revealing my ability.

Not really, there's a reason why Ash-greninja have 3 times the usage over Protean Greninja.
