Would you guys prefer a 20$ DLC with (a reasonable amount of) new post-game features but no changes to the main game, or a new 40$ third-version game with new features along with improvements to the main game? I'm talking about Sun and Moon, obviously

The latter, as it awards late adopters and is a more complete option vs having potentially quality content stitched onto a weak basegame.

I'd buy either. Hell, they could probably release both, with the DLC containing the exact same postgame features as introduced in the third version, and I'd buy the DLC for both Sun and Moon while also getting the third version.

Free DLC. This isn't an indie. It's Pokémon company

It's funny that you say this, since Shovel Knight is getting free DLCs and AAA companies make you always pay for cut content

You have to consider the bottom line, anon. Yes, Gamefreak could easily take the hit for stuff like this, but you'd never be able to justify such to a board of directors/investors. They already provide the event services with minimal gain, don't be greedy.

it's the people really
i'd prefer them to make a game worth a shit without having to resort to DLC or third game meme

I'm not sure I understand what you mean
