Why do some of the fine anons here think ORAS are a downgrade

No-one thinks that Ruby and Sapphire are better. They're just shitposting because they hate anything that isn't gen 5.

Either they're diehard about difficulty in Pokemon, are nostalgiafags, or are shitposting.

Because even if you aren't talking about emerald it still existed, and it makes perfect sense to compare one remastered version of the game to another. Frankly I think gen 3 was garbage, and the battle frontier was really overrated though.

A valid reason being they eased it down somewhat, exp. share, Latios/Latias handed to you for free instead of chasing it down (and before the 6th gym even, not post-game), the strange remodeling of Mauville (I wouldn't consider this a downgrade, more like a questionable choice), overall just making it easier, I still enjoyed playing through it a lot though.

Though when you're left with a game with almost no post-game for two years until the next gen, something more than a battle maison would've been nice, hey could've at least put the battle tower in, instead they literally copied and pasted the XY battle facility

They're being delusional.

Their actual complaint is that ORAS wasn't nearly as good as it could have been, which is a legitimate gripe. Along with that, they turned down the difficulty even further from RS, which were already very easy. Emerald's level curve would have been much more appropriate.

Both of these being true, does not make ORAS an objectively worse game than RS, far from it.

Nostalgia + butthurt goes a long way.

They do that everytime though. Emerald had the battle tower from FRLG, and HGSS had the frontier
