I dunno why it wasn't included instead of Electric, but that doesn't change the fact that Ice is a great attacking type.

Defensively would be Fairy/Steel/Flying. Immunity to a common status move and a common offensive type(ground), plus more key resistances.

Ice typing is great offensively (if you ignore individual moves and only looked at effectiveness).

Ghost/Normal/Poison would be pretty beastly as a defensive pokemon. Even beastlier if it had Levitate.

Offensive, I've go with Ice/Ground/Electric, which, I think, can hit almost anything for supereffective or neutral.

Ghost/Dark/Poison is weak only to Ground. Add in Levitate and you're set. You also get to be immune to Toxic, Normal moves, Fighting moves, Psychic moves, and Prankster.
