I think that it's very likely that Ash will stay in Pokémon School and only ever have Pikachu and Rowlet and the others only have their mascot Pokémon. That Incineroar from the leaks is propably a different character from the wild Litten that often appears.

Pikachu, Rowlet, Torracat (diff one than the wild Litten), Ash-Greninja, Crabominable, and Mudsdale.

Look here's who I think they'll put all three starters in the same picture. After episode 16 when litten brings both popplio and rowlet back to ash and Lana. Kukui gets impressed by litten.
