he even gave opinion on the actual final starters, he didn't specifically give one out about Decidueye although he felt proud being close enough and the arrow/wing bow being clever but a bit broken, Incineroar was his favorite although he forced himself to like it (jarring torso, seemed to like the belt but doesn't like how the belt itself shoots fire, not a fan of how it's not influenced by the hairball shooting) and... Yeah, his opinion on Primarina wasn't exactly joyful either, simply said he didn't like it and that's all. He said that if they were real, he'd probably pick Litten, then box. I honestly don't believe Ballio and friends even have a presence outside /vp/. And while some Balliofags are definitely shitpostera, there's a reason he stick so long. He was a very well designed fakemon introduced in the wake of an incredibly disappointing generation. He wasn't exactly close, but at the time, I believe he was the one with the closest guess back then on how Decidueye could have looked. Although I don't believe he could have predicted the archer thing in any way (neither of us could have), it's more in the sense of a nimble owl hiding in the dark and has a hood of some sort and attacks swiftly. It just so happens that Decidueye is a archer and this one is a knife thrower (which Dartrix seems to be focused on) so they kinda feel split ways.

I've only ever gotten one email of him long long ago, but he was at least polite, but also shared his opinion. I don't believe anyone has managed to keep track of him after all this unless they were lucky. It's understandable why he'd vanish, his designs were still a bit of a talk back then even if controversial.

I'd say they're still mildly relevant in certain countries, even if their whole career is in threat due to "bad" clowns, horror movies and just overall bad media rep. But yeah, it's sad it's gotten to this point. Not even forgetting the whole "bad" clown scandal that was going on around October last year.
