I don't get it either. Vikavolt has nothing to do with magnetism, its whole deal is that it and its pre-evos are specially adapted to feed off of electricity from power plants. A-Golem would have made sense, since it's based on lodestones and railguns.

I really don't see how. Railguns are projectile weapons, Vikavolt just zaps things with electricity. He looks more like a pair of wire strippers, which makes sense considering its feeding habit.
