Gen V was my least favorite.

My favorite things about it were:
Zekrom (Electric/Dragon too good)
Bisharp (badass armored blade pokemon that was dark type)
and the PWT was pretty fucking sweet. It'd be nice to see it return in every future game. I know that'd get old and samey after awhile, but its better than what we got in Gen VI.

Man, this was the best thing in my childhood. I remember the mysticism and sense of exploration when I was trying to see if the myth of Mew under the truck or Mewthree was true. Too bad that when I was trying to prove if the myth of one of the MissingNo was real (the Kabuto skeleton) I corrupted my file and lost all of my progress.

Still the best days of my life.

I'd have to say the Pokemon were pretty cool (like, most of my favorite Pokemon are Gen 3 mons).

I don't remember the sheer amount of water being too much of a problem (or really noticing it until the fucking "IGN too much water" meme), does that count?
and then I liked little shit like the trick house and the mach bike cycling road challenge
the game also has some really cool locations, like Fortree and Pacifidlog

Gen 6, but I'll include double the points just to show that I don't outright hate any Pokemon games.

Probably Gen 3 just because it's in this awkward middle ground of game mechanics, and it's the only generation I ever took issue with the speed of battles in. However, the Emerald Frontier is fucking fantastic, Hoenn and the Sevii Islands are in general really nice maps, and Sugimori's art with RS was my personal peak along with Crystal. There's way more little things I could say too, I don't even dislike either game, it's just the engine they're trapped in. Despite the many objective things Emerald has over ORAS, I'd much rather play ORAS just to not have to deal with the outdated mechanics and "pace" I feel of the Gen 3 engine.

If you mean my single least favorite game, that's probably SM at the moment, where nearly everything is merely sufficient, no more no less. The best things are probably breeding improvements like faster cycles and PC Judge, the vast amount of color choices in clothing as they allow me to dress my Trainer in the exact color scheme of my favorite Pokemon, and Hyper Training.
