I'm thinking about using Nidoking but don't know much

Sheer Force. Earth Power is boosted by Sheer Force, and Sheer Force also removes the recoil damage from Life Orb.

So basically Nidoking gets a 60% boost to its moves with no drawbacks. Earthquake isn't boosted by Sheer Force, so Nidoking takes damage when it uses it. Not the case with Earth Power.

No. His physical STAB moves are actually weaker than his special moves.

There is little reason to run pure physical when special sets have more power, better coverage, doesn't mind Burns and Intimidates.

Nidoking has higher power moves in the special side, earth power and sludge wave actually hit way harder than poison jab and earthquake despite Nidoking higher attack stat.

Simply put the only reason to consider physical Nidoking is sucker punch, use special, it's worth ignoring the attack stat when you hit like a truck.

Nidoking isn't the best Pokémon either, Landorus I does this thing better.

Special is overall better, i've used one since bw2 and cam say the most you will get out of physical is mega horn and a more powerful sucker punch. If you want the best of both worlds go rash/naive nature and give it sludge wave earth power ice beam and sucker punch.

I've used them both and from my experience Lando makes a better wall breaker but nidoking makes a better scarf user. Lando isn't better they play different roles.

It's not 60%. Why do people always think this? When you have two percent modifiers, you apply one, and then the other. So Life Orb gives 30%, and then Sheer Force gives 30% of THAT and adds it to it. So 100 would become 133 and then becomes 177, meaning it's a 77% increase. Not 60%.
