Cynthia is the lowest tier champion not because of her actual skills as a trainer, but because she's constantly being shoved in your face as the best trainer ever. She's the ONLY trainer with perfect IV Pokemon, and of course she has a team full of overpowered shit like Garchomp and Lucario. I don't mind a challenge, I wish more trainers had teams like hers, but the problem is that GF won't even dare to make a character stronger than her.

She doesn't even have a personality outside of being a "super badass mythology expert". She doesn't do anything memorable except send you to run errands and stand around as you do all the hard work. And don't even get me started on all her half-assed cameos in just about every single post gen-4 game. All she does is battle you (with her le super stronk team that's even stronger than the champion's) and talk about her bikinis.

The worst part? All you dumb fucks fall for it. Everyone claims she's the best champion when she's actually the worst.

Can't say for everyone else, but I give Steven a pass (you do actually interact with him a lot, especially in ORAS), and Wallace only replaces Steven because the latter is MIA for Emerald.

Iris is okay, no opinion on Green/Blue, can't stand Diantha or Kukui, but Diantha is easily the fucking worst. I literally forgot about her cause she never played a role in the story other than existing. She shows up at the end of the league and I'm like, "Wait, who are you again? A model or some stupid shit?"
(she also killed my Nidoking in my Y nuzlocke, so I despise her forever)

Homestly, Kukui is basically in the non-existent tier of champions. Destroyed half of his team with Mimikyu and the other half with Mudsdale. Neither actually fainted. 6-0.
Wallace fucked me upside down, sideways, and diagonally in Emerald. My team had 4 Pokémon weak to water, and the other 2 were under levelled. It took 5 tries and 3 hours of grinding to finally beat him.
As for Diantha... a walk in the park. Florges swept about half, Greninja came in handy for the other 2. My only major struggle was her Gardevoir.

Not sure why but Alder has been my favorite champ since his introduction, I'm bummed he didn't show up outside of gen 5 at all. Having him make a Battle Tree cameo would have been nice.
I don't hate Cynthia but I do wish they'd give the other champs some of the limelight at some point y'know?
