No one wants to actually discuss anything because anyone with even a quarter of a brain knows that nothing that happens will ever amount to anything.
Ash will still lose no matter how ridiculous his team gets.
No one except for him and Pikachu are permanent, so there's no point in expecting them to go anywhere aside from the occasional throwback episode/arc.
Ash and Pikachu still get downgraded every few regions because Status Quo is God.
Slowly but surely every region aside from Kanto is being considered irrelevant unless there's a big fan favorite Pokemon he acquired in that generation.

The problem is there's no plot this season yet. It's all slice of life filler shit so far. Until some actual plot starts happening, then there's nothing to discuss there so you get the same handful of shitters that post waifu images over and over, mainly Lilliefags but also some Serenafags, Dawnfags and Mayfags

All Ash ships except the one with Serena are dead now. Shipping Ash with anyone was always pointless, but it's doubly pointless now that the writers have basically told the viewers they're supposed to conclude from the ending scenes of XYZ that she becomes his future girlfriend at some off-screen future point in time.
Even then, it won't have any bearing on how the rest of the show goes, precisely because they made it an "in the future" scenario, so arguing about it is a total waste of time too.

The rest of the shit in your post is mostly accurate, but even then people would be discussing this season more if there was anything worth discussing. It's almost nothing but fillers with a couple mediocre battles thrown in so far.
