I never thought I'd be saying this because I'm a "genwunner" but now that I've hit 30, I'm ready for the full second generation. I think it would give me reason to open up the game and grind every day. Right now I just don't have that motivation. All of a sudden, I feel the desire to grind my way to a Typhlosion or Tyranitar.
Oddly enough one of my favorite aspects of the game has been the lucky egg spree. It's kind of a mindless activity in some ways, but sitting down after a long day of grinding, having a beer on the couch and evolving everything was something I really looked forward to. Now I don't know if I'll get the same pleasure leveling my way up to 31, knowing that these lucky egg sprees won't result in any new Pokedex entries. I do have Alakazam and Muk to grind for, but those small prizes seem so far away.
I walk my dog a lot and I also run a lot for sport, which is one reason I've been successful at the game. I imagine these are the things that will keep me turning on the game on a daily basis since I hit 30 yesterday. I don't play with a PoGo+, but I really think that buying one could help revitalize my interest in the game and change the gameplay to keep it fresh.
I really think/hope Niantic really ramps it up again this upcoming spring and summer. I anticipate somewhat of a re-launch with gen 2 and perhaps some new gaming content. I can't imagine they're all just over there sitting and doing nothing all winter. I need some new content and reasons to play.
Speaking of events, I must say that I was absolutely dedicated to the game during all of the events. I was 100% sure to take full advantage of them. Having consistent events, to me, is very important for the success of the game moving forward. Similarly, the introduction of daily bonuses has also been a motivator to open the game every day.

I got to 33 before I started spoofing.

There's literally nothing else to do at that point. You're maxed out on shitmon waiting for double xp, you've got thousands of coins from your stagnant gyms, etc. The only reason to keep the game on - a waste of your phone life - is to keep an eye out for the once-every-3-months Snorlax.

At least spoofing is kind of enjoyable since it gets you them rare candies.

I decided to use my old Galaxy S3 again (after an whole year of not using it) to do some experimenting with etc. Wanted to install GO and Fly GPS too but I need to activate the Developer Options to make it happen. However many options, including the Build Number to activate the DO, are grayed out now.

I'm not sure if it has something to do with the old inactivated sim card and I need to put in a new one or something...I'm honestly not an expert on these things. Does anyone have any idea?

Some dragonites were 1-2 hits (my 98% got it first try but fled my gf). A couple ate through 70 ultras - back in the summer I was down to pokeballs at least once - and one in the rain cost like 90 ultras because I couldn't hit it.

It's foolish cause I only wanted him to ammend for the one that fled a couple weeks ago and I don't bother walking to the river like 10 blocks for dratinis.

I am part of a very dedicated group of players in Portland, Oregon. We banded together months ago and our group has been growing since then we have I think 12 members now. We are all level 30+ with the average being around 35. We are in constant communication about everything from the Snorlax that popped up down the street, to the Gym that's being attacked across town. Recently one of our members came upon a member from the opposing team and introduced himself. The interaction was going well but then this person admitted to having reported my friend as a bot or spoofer. Obviously as a completely legitimate player that is not what you want to hear from an opposing player. It got worse though, he proceeded to pull out a list with the names of every player in our group and he said that him and his friends have all been reporting these names as bots/spoofers. Not one player on our team is a bot or spoofer so we were all very upset to hear about this incident. It's obvious to me that people are jumping to conclusions about spoofers far to quickly. People then ask there friends and reach out on social media for help with reporting these "spoofers" because they are ruining the game. If you legitimately think someone is a spoofer then report them. But never ask for other people to report and never report because someone asks you to. Often times the reporting process is being abused for competitive reasons. I have confidence that Niantic is not going to ban legitimate players and I am not worried for our group, but I don't want to be considered a bot by my competitors. There are often many places to park or stand in range of a gym that are not obvious. Those are the places I prefer to play from and it's not just me, next time you think it's a spoofer I urge you to look a little bit harder before reporting.

The timer is there on the main screen when you're on the world map like Incense.

Also I suggest having a sorting scheme that works for you in clumping all the evo fodder together so you don't have to scroll to find the next one ever. I use names.

I think the game sorts names by ASCII order so symbols like ! and $ would be at the top of the list and then numbers and names after. So what I do is I label evo fodder with $ like pic related and high IV Pokemon I want to evolve with ! so that I don't miss either when I'm doing an evo spree.

Pidgeys, Weedles, and Caterpies only need 12 candies for the first stage evolution so you only need like 840 candies for 70 evolutions. Though the actual number will be less because you get one candy for evolving, and after the first evo spree you'll also have leftover candy from transferring the Pidgeottos.

If we're talking 70 Pidgyes per evo spree, you need 228 Pidgeys per evo spree. I don't have the math copypasta with me but that's not that bad if we're talking Pidgeys.

0-50 and 51-64 is how I write down the appraisal tiers. If you look closer, the only ones I bothered calculating are the ones over 82%.
Because anything named 82-100 will be at the bottom of the sorted list and always be leftovers of an evo spree so they stay as a reminder of my disappoint forever while the rest gets transferred.

Spoofing pretty much removes the only thing that this piece of shit game has going for it.

I stopped playing in September because they blocked rooted devices from playing the game. I was on holiday at the time so I had no access to my PC and I had limited internet access anyway so I couldn't try to get around it. It pissed me off because I was hoping to catch a Farfetch'd while I was in Asia for a couple of weeks. By the time I got back, I never bothered trying to circumvent the block until today.

Is it worth getting back into the game now? I had a quick look and it seems that Mystic have complete control over every gym, they're all level 10 and filled with 2000+ Pokemon. The strongest I have is a handful of 1000~ Pokemon.

Seems the profile glitch is still around. I accidently clicked it a minute ago and it was fine. I just tried pressing it again and the game crashed.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this bug yet. I was tracking an eevee Today to a stop and up came the message 'Pokémon has fled' as usual when it despawns.

Because of this I turned round and walked back when the eevee reappeared. Assuming it was a 2nd eevee (perhaps the stop was near a nest) I walked back and the same happened again!

When it happened a 3rd time I just kept on walking to the stop; the eevee was there even though it had supposedly fled.
But its still possible that it could have just been 4 eevee spawning and despawning within minutes of each other?

Yes but the same thing happened again with a dratini. Dratini is extremely rare in my town, and I know there was no nest on this particular stop.

The chance that 2 dratini had spawned and despawned within minutes of each other was overwhelmingly unlikely.

The conclusion has to be that the tracker is buggy and prematurely removing Pokémon before they despawn and doing it when you move towards the stop bizarrely enough.

Why the fuck is Niantic being such Jews about releasing all of gen 2?

Normies are going to lose interest if they keep releasing only one or two at a time every 3 months

Two mons, if they're both obtainable the same way, like walking your Eevee for 10km per example, I already see people getting mad because they got Umbreon like 3 times in a row and have to fucking walk 40km at least for just a dex entry, and that's not even mentioning the fact that you can get shit movesets.

My idea is it to change the way how prestige works when fighting a gym. In my opinion prestige should only be removed when a attacker or attacking group managed to win vs as many pokemon as its need to reduce a hole Arena level. And with this rule one defender defeat should substract 2000 prestige.

My english is not so good so some samples now:

An arena is level 10 with 50k prestige and you defeat 4 Pokemon with your 6.

The prestige will not change because 4 defeated pokemon only substract 8k prestige and you need 10k prestige to remove lvl 10. Now you defeat at the same arena all 10 pokemon with your 6 you reduce the prestige by 21k(maybe some higher bonus for defeating the hole arena) and the arena is lvl 7 with 29k prestige.

Why would this solve some Problems ?
First of all it would protect from tactics like killing only 1 pokemon of a lvl 10 arena with a second account of a other team and only presting 1k to get the spot.

And second good defender strategies and defending team strategies will be more rewarded. High cp wouldn`t be as good as a good defender.
