You really don't need new fossils every game. Like the quality of Gens 2 and 7 or BW2 wasn't really affected by not being able to get any fossils pre-E4.

Oh yeah my bad. I meant to say new fossils pre-E4 for Gen 7. I honestly forget sometimes that the gen 4 and 5 fossils are even in Sun and Moon. Aerodactyl is in the game as well.
