I think it's 2019, Gen 8 will be on a new system one way or another and like how XY and SM took three years instead of DP and BW1's two years, it will probably need four years and come out in 2020, thus the five year pattern for the remakes remain more plausible

I'd buy them if they were. Kanto needs new remakes way more though, since playing without the Phys/Spec split these days is lame as fuck, and the full 3D jump would be a good excuse to revamp Kanto and make it actually interesting and good as a region.

What the fuck? I sure do. I would love to explore an updated Sinnoh. I actually can't wait until the gen 5 remakes, and I really hope they fix up the issues in XY/SM in their inevitable remakes. It'd be interesting seeing just what exactly they'll do with those last two. Maybe by then we'll have a device that can handle the models.

I actually wouldn't mind if they remade RGB again. Kanto Pokemon in Kanto is tolerable, and FRLG is really fucking outdated now.
