Was Poni Island rushed? It has so little content, hands out Z-Crystals

Poni IS the Victory Road, in fact, it has way more content than previous Gens

There's evidence of cut corners on most islands.

>Hau'oli city has a vacant lot for no apparent reason, other than a Machamp standing on it.
>An entire golf course you can't visit, despite it having a dedicated character who is your flying Z-Crystal bearer.

There's also Mudsdale's questionable inclusion as a ride Pokémon. It is only needed to cross over specific rocky paths that don't appear anywhere prior to its ride availability, and riding it otherwise changes nothing about encounters that may occur.

Hau'oli, Heahea, Konikoni, Malie, even Seafolk
There's probably a few I'm missing
But they're possibly where gyms will go in the sequel or not

Victory Road was Lanakila any way you spin it because once you finish the island challenge you had to climb it as a final challenge.

Arguably Vast Poni Canyon and Mt. Lanakila were both the game's Victory Road. VPC being the more traditional V. Road while Lanakila was like the Gen 2/HGSS V. Road where there are no trainer battles except for a rival battle near the end
