Flamethrower is really good. It oneshots Mega Metagross at +2, and hits Celesteela.

It actually is.
Nasty plot, nuke something and set up terrain, psychic spam.
You can even run psychic and Psyshock to break the blobs.
I prefer baton pass on Mew with it's z stone, but it's hard to screw it.
Timid is mandatory for base 100 speed.
Psychic and nasty plot are the only surefire things, you can run Psyshock, baton pass, rock Polish, aura sphere, Flamethrower, dazzling gleam or even earth power if you really hate heatran and still be successful.
The z stone is quite great, although standard stall breaker taunt Mew still got its merits and bulk.
