Trying it with M-Ray, B. Kyurem, Xerneas, and Hoopa confined, all maxed, but unfortunately none boosted...and no coins...

I did it with Camerupt (7/7), Kyurem-B, Xerneas, and Zygarde-50. Only Camel and Xerneas maxed. If your Ttar or Camel are candied, do that. If Ray is candied, bring keep trying with that team. If not, go to Glalie. You should be able to do this with a few tries.

what is the criteria for MSU to drop? Sometimes I kill belossom without getting one and sometimes I fail the stage where I would have gotten 2.

Bellossom does not drop MSUs (mega speedups). Bellossom drops PSBs (personal skill boosters). And there's no criteria. It's got a drop rate and you're beholden to the RNG. If you don't fight Bellossom, you won't get any drops. If you do fight, you've got a chance of drops.

It's luck anon. M-Fug can be hard, don't sweat it, general rule of Mega-stages is go all items so you only need to play it once, and you usually items to clear, and all to S-Rank. My best guess for a team would be the three strongest dragons you have and Dragonite for Dancing Dragons.

I guess ideally you get a Poison going with Toxicroak, you bring a Croagunk as well to keep a Poison Pact combo going, then I guess Muk's Po4+ to drop dimes on everyone. With Gengar-S or Beedrill. Poison type is still clearly missing some support, although they've got Mind Zap at least. It still could use an Eject+, Swap+, or Stabilize+ to handle some semblance of disruptions.

Get rid of that OCD. You have to catch them all, but you don't have to catch them right now. Proceed through the main stages and try to get the good stuff. S-rank as many stages as possible to unlock special stages. Catch all events, but don't bother with later escalation levels or grinding skill levels unless you can beat the stages consistently without using items.

just power through the main stages and only catch certain ones like gengar or fug. And once oyu hit ttar you got plenty of strong ones so you can work through previous stages.
There is no use in catching literall 30bp shitmons that you will never ever use. Your hearts should rather advance you in the main stages and once you are done you can go get them

As some anons pointed out in the last thread, I also seem to be getting very few angry skips. I'm at 60 now and Latias only got angry like 3 times. BRAVO GS

Was Mega Houndoom even any good? I couldn't get it, but the mega power looked a bit too situational, like an Aerodactyl for barriers. And that sucks.

once again. you wont get skips if you get too close to a boss stage or different disruption pattern. And iirc she changes them every 10 stages. So lets say you are at 30 and start your 5 hearts. You will only get rage if low on hearts. And if you are lucky or better unlucky you might get a +5 skip on 35. But since you will have a new pattern on 40 thats not possible and hence no rage for you.

just play the eb on low amount of hearts (personally I only play it when I have 2 hearts) and you will get plenty of skips. I am currently at 86.

At SL5, Mind Zap triggers at 35/65/100. Do you see why it's worth grinding? And Mind Zap is worth grinding on viable Pokemon, not shitmons like Kecleon and Shuppet. It's a very good ability that delays disruptions. It works on every type, unlike status afflictions.

M-Salamence is more important than Ttar though. For S-ranks and escalation bosses you usually want Mega Start anyway. A candied M-Salamence rakes in insane amounts of coins against Weekend Meowth though. I went from 4000–6000 to 6000–10000 coins.

If it's a main stage and it's a repeat, it drops PSBs. If it's a Special stage, it'll say in the notice/info whether or not it drops anything. Chill is good, Zoroark's Sinister Power is good, Vanilluxe's Freeze is good. With all the new swappable mons, there's a ton of main stages that drop decent PSBs now.

Christ no, I'm a noob to this, but I'm not stupid.
The only reason I've caught and S-ranked most everything behind me is because I had to do SOMETHING while I was stuck.
That and concentrate on the Special stages.
I'd probably be past it if I could get something Super Effective with a Mega Stone but I keep barely getting bumped out of those ranks, or something decent with Burn, but all I have is Charmeleon. And god knows that Ho-Oh I caught doesn't help much.

Not that stupid, since Virizion is uniquely suited for a competition right now. A Virizion at SL3 might get you a higher score in the compy than one at SL1, especially if you trigger Po4+ in it. I'd say it's worth grinding if you have coins to drop/are interesting in maximizing chances for top tier.

It's pretty novice, but it's pretty much the only way to play for a while. It takes a little while to start diversifying the team based on abilities.

Really depends on how far you are. By the time you have M-Gengar you should at least always be using that for 3-mon stages even if it isn't SE. About that time you should start getting event legendaries which usually have good abilities, but most of them are strong enough to always end up in your team from optimisation anyway. Miltilotic is like the first mon where it's wise to use a custom team, adding Feebas just so the stage isn't impossible. From about thereon out you should be studying abilities more closely.

Why the fuck is Kakuna, a shitmon I'm never going to use, so fucking hard to beat. Specially since I don't have Garchomp, Cresselia or Landorus because I hadn't started playing the game yet.

You could prioritize the competition since once you get the stone you just wait until they rerun gyarados, but if you have nor regular nor shiny gyarados it kind of seems like a waste.
With the team you posted you probably need an Atk+ and a MegaStart for it to shine, since disruptions in this stage without TTar or the camel are a bitch. I believe you could ge the stone but not without efforts/coins
