>shards of metal orbiting around it

>got a worthless weather-dependent ability instead
F
Magnet pull would've been nice.
Mega HAs when

I've heard a lot of people say it would've been inferior to Magnezone as a steel trapper, because it can't beat Skarmory, but it can handle Heatran a lot more reliably.

Diamond isn't a metal

how do you think things like mega-mence because real

B-but mega fixes ALL pokemon anon! Megas are the best thing that ever happened to the franchise! No one needs buffs, new movesets, abilities or permanent evolutions after a mega is handled, megas are the gift that keep on giving, not unbalanced and biased toward certain mons at all and if you complain you just need to git gud and go back to yokai watch or something.

I still find it hard to believe Mega Steelix even exists.
It looks like some insane fan concept. No, it looks like three insane fan concepts all got mashed together. On top of that, it's useless. And on top of THAT, it's impossible to even imagine that thing battling properly. How does it move? How does it fight? How can this thing even be allowed in buildings?
Steelix is one of my favourite Gen 2 Pokemon, thank goodness I can still use the normal one and can just ignore this abomination.
>>31612445
Steelix needs recovery and Solid Rock or Filter. It's supposed to be a tank, not an executer.

>but it can handle Heatran a lot more reliably.
How? Magnezone can use Scarf and hit Heatran before it gets crippled by a fire move, which means that a weakened Heatran will be removed from the match.
While Steelix... well, it guarantees the OHKO with Earthquake but it HAS to eat a fire-type move.

>not knowing that diamond is the hardest metal known to man
this fucking guy

This is exactly how I feel about Mega Heracross
But at least my bro didn't need a boost, I feel terrible that Steelix is fucked now that they think they did something for it
>>31612445
I can see why they gave it Sand Force, I guess. Mega Aggron already does the defensive Steel Mega thing with higher HP and Filter, so they decided to make Steelix the offensive one (STAB Earthquake is batter for this).
Sand Force gives it a free Life Orb boost on both STABs. Sure you need weather up, but that's not hard. Is it really that bad? Which other ability could they have given it? Tough Claws? Adaptability?
