Normal types themselves are largely composed of inert/mundane/non-elemental matter and thus ghosts phase right through them, and since they're usually just my mom's animals they're not sapient enough to be spooked out by ghosts entering their bodies. Fighting types however are sensitive to spiritual powers, but not to the extent psychics are.
