Depends on the legendary. Mewtwo always goes in a master ball while Reshiram goes in a premier ball.

Well I caught my Lunala in a Moon Ball, because obvious reasons.

Was thinking when it comes to playing Sun, I'll try getting Solgaleo in a beast ball.

Beast Balls are postgame though.

I can't into balltism because Dusk and Quick Balls are good at everything and I don't have the patience to sit, throw, and soft reset over and over.

Balltism is only for mons you care about, and ideally can breed if it's a apricorn ball.

Also nothing stopping me from trading a few beast balls over to Sun from my Moon save.

For normal Pokemon, it's much less of an issue, you only need to catch the base species in it and breed from there.

does it fucking matter? legendaries are kinda hard to catch. leave 1 HP, paralyze them or put them to sleep and you still can barely catch them.

in later games it became a bit easier I think.

thankfully I don't have Balltism so I don't give a fuck if I got the green and yellow Leavanny in a pink ass Heal Ball. the important thing is that I caught the mon in the first place.

I usually resort to ultra balls or dusk balls but this time I'm trying to get them in other balls that seem more desirable.

Nice trips.

Plot legendaries like Reshiram/Zekrom, OR/AS Kyogre/Groudon/Rayquaza, Dialga/Palkia, Xerneas/Yveltal and Solgaleo/Lunala are much easier to catch than non-plot legendaries like Zygarde, Kyurem, Giratina, Tapus and Genies.

So the former, Balltism away.
