If the guy who hacked it in is retarded
>hurr durr let's give it some illegal moves and abilities :)
Other than that you can't tell the difference
>>31585568
if the ball is ilegal you can though
At first glance, if it's CORRECTLY hacked, no.
By correctly hacked I mean, it has believable stats and a believable route where it was caught or hatched. Not to mention a correct moveset.
I say this because a correctly breeded pokemon in the end would have the same stats and moves.
Which by the way, kind of off topic but leads me to this question: would you hack a pokemon that in the end would be the same as breeded? I mean, hack a "honest" pokemon with believable stats.
In the end, the only thing you're saving is time and tedium.

Take a look at where and when it was born/meet and check if it has any moves or abilities it shouldn't know.
Other than that there's not really much of a tell.

Pokémon with illegal moves/abilities/stats can't be traded anyway, so you shouldn't have to worry about this.
>>31585580
This is pretty much the only way to tell, other than the hastily injected mons that don't have memories
>>31585556
ask ray rizzo on his AMA
>>31585556
It's impossible to tell, ironically, without PKHeX. This is why people gen their shit.
>>31586415
Even with PKHeX if done correctly you're unable to tell.
>>31586305
Memories are gone in gen 7.
>>31585556
There is no way to tell unless the pokemon has a hacked moveset/ability/ball.
>>31585556
There's a reason people got banned for hacked save files and not hacked Pokemon. If everything about the Pokemon is plausible there is no way to tell if it's hacked in or not.
>>31585585
I would inject because there is no skill component to waiting for the rng to sling in your favor
>>31585556
if the person hacked it with common sense, no.
its why breedfags are so insecure and sperg out whenever somebody mentions injecting around them, it invalidates all their hours of work by producing a pokemon of the exact same quality or better with less effort and time, and to top it all off if done correctly there's no way to discern the injected pokemon from the bred one.

If its a 6iv pokemon at a high level in exchange for a non valuable pokemon
