>Secondary typing only deals 25% STAB damage
yay or nay? It could help differentiate stuff like Garchomp and Flygon (Garchomp for stronger dragon STAB, Flygon for stronger ground STAB)
>>31577072
>having to memorise the typing ordering for hundreds of pokemon
no
>>31577138
I already do that 2bh
>>31577072
I've always been on the fence about this (because I have a feeling it would invalidate more Pokémon than help,) but I'd be on-board for it, to be honest. It might catalyze more rare type combos, too, and it would definitely be a boon for types that are uncommon in the first slot, like Flying.

>yay or nay? It could help differentiate stuff like Garchomp and Flygon (Garchomp for stronger dragon STAB, Flygon for stronger ground STAB)Garchomp would still outclass Flygon by a mile
Also, Gamefreak would have to get off their asses and give some pokemon a bigger movepool for this to work the way you want it.

Neat idea.
>>31577072
Make it 33% and you've got a deal.
>>31577138
2 seconds on Google.
>>31577072
there's no such thing as a secondary type
>>31577072
>Flying types are all weak as sin except Noivern and Tornanus
No thanks
>Secondary typing only deals 50% STAB damage
FTFY
Also you'd have to fix a lot of:
>Normal as primary type
>Flying as secondary type
>Ice as secondary to Water
>Ground/Rock as secondary to each other
>>31577138
>2017
>Not having the important Pokémon statistics already memorized by heart.
>Not having a smartphone to quickly check Veekun's fast db.

Filthy casuals

>BottomKec is an actual retard who likes bad ideas
I'm not surprised, as you're Jimmy's bitchboy.
>>31577072
>nerfing Pidgeot and the other Normal/Flying birds
>>31579759
Flying STAB is fucking busted though. A working Flying move pushes a lot of stuff over the edge, even if it's a Z-Move
>>31581030
50% is already the regular STAB bonus
>>31581702
...kek, my mistake, I mistook it for the normal type advantage 100% bonus.
I'd say >>31579699 's 33% suggestion would be okay.
>>31577072
Make it a 75% STAB for monotype Pokémon and I'm game. All for making type order actually matter. And there being an actual advantage to monotype Pokémon.
