Whoever thought it was OK to force it in you with no warning and no save option was an idiot. Even if it respawns, you don't know it's going to respawn, so as soon your Pokémon gets a critical hit wishing to be praised and knocks it out, it puts a huge damper on what is supposed to be a happy occasion. Shittest game design short of the fishing mechanic.

I just guessed that GF isn't THAT retarded and they would allow for a rematch if I ran away, good judgment call on my part since Tapu Koko ended up being one of my strongest guys once I got him with Timid nature and HP Ice.

As for my opinion on it, I hate it. I beat Kukui while in a place with no wifi. I was paranoid if it can respawn or not. And having no internet connection to look it up if it did. Not to mention the long as credits that came after catching Koko.

The nature gets locked to the one that Tapu koko has in the first battle before the credits when you re-fight him I think. The problem is that if you want a specific nature you have to rebattle Kukui over and over again.

That's an old mechanic anon, the last time I remember doing that was with Suicune back in HGSS.

The nature is random which makes it easier with a Sync pokémon nowadays.

No reason to feel angry about this except for the people that don't know this is a thing and feel the need to capture it because "there won't be another chance".

Imagine if this wasn't the case in ORAS. The battle with Fug, Zinnia and Deoxys would pretty much destroy your possibility of having a good nature one by legit means.

It's shit because you need more than one rod, but they only give you one, so there's literally no way to catch 'em all without encountering more Magikarp than could possibly fit in the ocean, even with the bubbling spots. The mechanic of needing rock-pools would be fine if there was a way to have a Magikarp-free encounter pool.
