Hoenn should be gem

Sinnoh can be the hexagon gem

Unova can be a black and white checkerboard

The ones they use in the TCG would be just fine to use, thats where some of these come from

I think that though hexagon/pentagon should be reserved for Kalos imho, I had hammered into my head too many times that "France looks like a hexagon/pentagon".
And good idea to use TCG symbols, plenty to choose from.

Unova - Hexagon, considering the shape of the loop from Nimbasa City going clockwise or counter clockwise.

Sinnoh - A diamond. Four sides, in reference to Generation 4, also a reference to Pokemon Diamond and Dialga.

Hoenn - A triangle. Consider the Delta symbol which is a triangle, consider the triangular shape you fight Deoxys from. Also has three sides, in reference to Generation 3.

Johto - This one I'm a little more stumped on. I want to say either a tower, in reference to the towers of Ecruteak, or a feather, in reference to Ho-Oh and Lugia. Maybe two feathers crossed together, as that would also reference Generation 2.

Kanto, FRLG - The easiest answer is a Poke Ball, because it's the first region and you know how much Game Freak loves to suck Kanto's dick.

I honestly can't think of what else it could be. That just seems like the most obvious answer.
